West Point police probe robbery at Radio Shack

Chief Detective Mike Burgess of the West Point Police Department said Wednesday the department has no new suspects and continues "working on some leads." 

 


WPPD is looking for a black male approximately 6 feet tall, slender and in his 40s with a black and gray goatee. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black or brown hooded jacket with sunglasses. He carried a large-caliber semi-automatic pistol. 

 


The suspect fled the store with the cash drawer. The empty drawer was later found on Highway 45 Alternate. 

 


Officials are requesting anyone with information regarding the incident call the WPPD at 494-1244 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
