Franklin Academy Medical Sciences and Wellness School has a new leader.
Tawan Williams will be taking over as principal on an interim basis at Franklin. She is filling in for Patricia Overstreet, who resigned last Friday and is currently on paid leave according to Jannette Adams, Columbus Municipal School District grants and strategic partnerships coordinator.
The district did not comment on the circumstances surrounding Overstreet’s resignation.

The district has named Johnny Johnson interim principal at the high school.
