Columbus police are seeking suspects in a reported residential burglary and assault.
A police department press release said officers responded at about 7:30 p.m. Monday to the residence at 1424 Third Ave. N. in reference to a disturbance and shots fired. When officers entered the residence they discovered a man lying on the floor, according to authorities.
The victim told police several suspects had forced their way into his home, then beat and robbed him. He reported one of the suspects may have fired a shot inside the residence at the homeowner’s dog.
CPD is investigating the incident and did not release further details as of press time Wednesday.
