Three Starkville residents face drug-related charges as Starkville Police Department and county law enforcement continue cracking down on offenders.
On Wednesday, Theadore Heilman, of 204 Yeates St., Apt. 2, was charged with felony possession of cocaine. He also has pending indictments from an Oktibbeha County grand jury, a SPD release stated.
Another man was also charged with felony possession of cocaine.
Arrest warrants were also issued for Wesley Kennedy, also of 204 Yeates St., Apt. 2, for possession of a controlled substance in relation to the investigation.
SPD’s release did not give ages for the three suspects.
Starkville Municipal Court Judge Rodney Faver set Heilman’s bond at $10,000 and Sims’ at $5,000.
The investigation continues, SPD’s release states, and more charges are expected.
Law enforcement agents have reported a recent surge in drug-related arrests since a year-long trafficking investigation yielded 11 other arrests Tuesday.
SPD and Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by numerous other Golden Triangle and state offices, executed numerous search and arrest warrants last week in and around Maben and Starkville.
During the course of those raids, agents seized marijuana, cocaine, firearms, three vehicles and $3,000 in cash.
