A 911 hang-up call on Wednesday led to a Lumberton man being booked in Oktibbeha County Jail.
Starkville police responded to the hang-up call from 309 Reed Road, Apt. 15. Upon arriving, a police department press release said officers smelled marijuana coming from the residence.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence and found marijuana, a large amount of Xanax and $216 cash. Officers also found two small children left unattended in the apartment.
Officers arrested Eddie Aquais Sandifer, 30, at the scene on suspicion of child endangerment, trafficking of a schedule 3 or 4 narcotic and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Sandifer was also out on indictment for a previous sale of marijuana charge. His bond is set at $100,000.
