The Columbus Police Department is investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting.
Authorities received a call about a gunshot victim at 12:40 p.m. The victim is a 29-year-old male, according to police. He arrived at an apartment at Evening Side Apartment Complex and called authorities from there. The victim was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound in the left shoulder. Authorities said the injury appeared to be non-threatening.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. The victim was uncooperative, according to Captain Brent Swann. Swan would not release the victim’s name.
As of this morning, the Columbus Police Department did not know where the shooting occurred. They have urged anyone in the community with information about the incident to come forward.
