JACKSON — Police say a man who was the victim of a robbery has shot and killed one of the robbers.
The Clarion-Ledger reports that the man was approached by two suspects while he was putting items in his truck Saturday at about 7:44 a.m.
Police say the suspects forced the victim into his house where they took his wallet and then forced him to drive them to an ATM. Police say the victim was able to grab a gun out his truck and shoot at the suspects, killing one at the scene. Another suspect fled on foot.
Police told the newspaper they believed it was a case of justifiable homicide, but that the case would be sent to a grand jury.
