A Columbus man is behind bars on aggravated assault charges following a reported shooting incident.
Police arrested Quinton Deangelo Harris, 23, of 113 Gaylane Drive, on Wednesday. He is accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle at about 3 a.m. on April 19 in a business parking lot on Tuscaloosa Road. Harris knew the two people in the vehicle and police said he had been in an altercation with them prior to the alleged shooting.
Harris faces two counts of aggravated assault. He is still in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
