Columbus police arrested three suspects Tuesday on suspicion of felony shoplifting.
Officers have accused Ray Lamont Evans, 38, of 323 N. Washington St. in Starkville; Avis Evette Shelton, 44, of 308 Martin Luther King in West Point; and Latisha Nicole Chandler, 37, of 321 Morrow St. in West Point, after they reportedly stole $2,200 of merchandise from the Columbus Belk, located along Highway 45 North.
Shelton is still in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $10,000 bond. Chandler posted $3,500 bond on Wednesday and was released. Evans is being held without bond for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
