The “boil water alert” on Rubens Fish & Steakhouse was lifted Thursday. The state Department of Health conducted tests that indicate the water is now safe to drink.
Two weeks ago, the department issued the alert due to the presence of E. coli and total coliform bacteria found in their monthly tests of the restaurant’s water supply. Since the alert, the restaurant has used only boiled or bottled water while they treated their water supply according to the state’s instructions.
Rubens Fish & Steakhouse is on Moore’s Creek Road.
