Nikki Shoemake, M.D., of Golden Triangle General Surgery has joined the medical staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point. Dr. Shoemake performs surgery at NMMC-West Point and sees patients by appointment on the hospital’s campus. She has been practicing in Starkville since 2008. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University and earned her medical degree in 2003 from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. She completed residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Shoemake is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Mississippi State Medical Association, and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
