A man who allegedly robbed a hotel early Friday morning is still at large, according to a media release from the Columbus Police Department.
On Friday at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers from the CPD responded to a call about an armed robbery at the Quality Inn at 1210 Hwy 45 North. The complainant reported that an armed man entered the hotel lobby and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a light skinned black male with a slim build and a short haircut and chinstrap beard. He is about 5′ 11″. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a brown plaid shirt and University of Alabama sweatpants.
The case is still under investigation.
