Two adults and one child were found shot to death Monday in Noxubee County.
Wendy Boykin, age unknown, her son Michael Boykin, 12, and her boyfriend Courtney Shields, 21, were found dead at Boykin”s residence on Highway 14 West just outside of Macon. A relative of Boykin who lives nearby called the Noxubee County Sheriff”s Office around 7:30 a.m. to report the killings.
Noxubee Coroner R.L. Calhoun reported the deaths occurred within the past 24 hours. None of the victims were reported missing.
NCSO Chief Deputy Terry Grassaree says the investigation is ongoing. He declined to speculate on possible scenarios and would not say if a weapon was found at the scene.
“We don”t know right now. We”re not ruling anything out,” said Grassaree.
The three bodies have been sent to Jackson for autopsies.
