MAYHEW — East Mississippi Community College has invited the community to attend “Proud to be an American Day” at its Golden Triangle campus at 10 a.m. Thursday.
U.S. Congressman Gregg Harper (R-MS) will be the guest speaker for the annual celebration, which is done in conjunction with EMCC’s Veterans Day observance.
EMCC choirs will preform a patriotic collection of music for military personnel, veterans and community leaders in attendance.
This year’s theme is “The American Creed,” which focuses on individual responsibility.
The event is in the Lyceum auditorium.
