SOUTHAVEN — A choir director at a DeSoto County high school has been charged with two counts of sexual battery.
The Commercial Appeal reports 29-year-old Megan Morgan surrendered Friday at the DeSoto County Jail and is free on $50,000 bond.
Few details are available in the ongoing investigation, but the charges stem from the parents of a student.
DeSoto County Schools issued a statement saying Morgan, choir director at DeSoto Central High School in Southaven, is no longer an employee of the system.
The statement said the system is cooperating with law enforcement in its investigation.
Online jail records did not list an attorney for Morgan.
