Officers with the Columbus Police Department at press time Saturday evening were still searching for two men accused of robbing residents at a Maple Street apartment in East Columbus on Friday night.
The victims reported to police that two men dressed in all black and wearing bandanas as masks entered their home near the intersection of Forrest Boulevard and McCrary Road about 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to Fred Shelton, interim CPD police chief. The victims reported that one of the suspects had a gun. The other, they said, had a knife.
The victims said the suspects took cell phones and a Playstation before leaving the apartment on foot. The victims said they did not know the suspects, according to Shelton.
