The Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville will hold the annual Rotary Rodeo Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. nightly, according to a press release from the Horse Park.
The event features steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie down riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrell racing and two rounds of bull riding each night. On Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., children can enjoy pony rides and a petting zoo on the arena floor. There will be vendors as well as Rotary Club members manning the concession stand.
“Each year I know we’ll have a top performance because our stock contractor Pete Carr brings stock that has been to the National Finals Rodeo,” said Bricklee Miller, Mississippi Horse Park Facility Director and Rotarian.
The price of admission at the door is $15 for adults. Children 12 and under get free admission Friday and $5 admissions on Saturday. Advance tickets are $12 and are available at the Oktibbeha County Co-op, Starkville Daily News, Parker-McGill Automotive in West Point and Tractor Supply in Starkville and Columbus.
The rodeo is an annual Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event put on by the Starkville Rotary Club.
