After more than 34 years of providing healthcare in West Point, family nurse practicioner Kay Coggins is retiring from practice.
Coggins began her career in 1982 as a license practical nurse at Clay County Medical Center in West Point. In 1984 she received her registered nurse degree and in 1996 she became a nurse practitioner. She opened her own healthcare clinic in 2004 and joined Urgent Team-West Point in 2014.
A celebration to honor Coggins will be held April 10 from 3-6 p.m. at Urgent Team-West Point. Refreshments will be served and Coggins’ patients are invited to come and say goodbye as she enters this new phase of her life. The center is located at 710 Hwy. 45 Alternate, near Point City Drugs.
