Col. Nick P. Ardillo of Columbus has been elected to serve as chairman of the Mississippi State Personnel Board for Fiscal Year 2017, and J. Lee Yancey of Brandon has been elected to serve as vice chairman.
Serving on the Board with Ardillo and Yancey are Donald G. Brown of Vicksburg, Alwyn H. Luckey of Ocean Springs, and Col. Donald R. Taylor of Crystal Springs.
Ardillo was originally appointed to the board by Gov. Haley Barbour to fill an unexpired term in June 2011 and was reappointed to the board by Gov. Phil Bryant in 2016. As a former commander of Columbus Air Force Base, Ardillo, now retired from active duty, is the principal of NPA, LLC and a partner in Ardillo, McCullough and Taggart LLC. He provides aerospace, airports, and defense consulting.
Yancey was appointed to the Board by Gov. Phil Bryant in 2013. He is a financial advisor for Woodridge Capital Portfolio Management. From 2008 to 2012, he served as a state senator. During that time, he served on several Senate committees including Code, Ethics, Drug Policy, Finance, Insurance, Judiciary A, and Public Health and Welfare.
