Officers with the Columbus Police Department are investigating a Monday night shooting.
CPD received a call about 10 p.m. from a homeowner on the 1300 block of 9th Avenue North who reported that a person had been shot outside the home. The gunshot victim had already left the residence.
The 31-year-old victim was later admitted to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle with a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Police described the witness as uncooperative. Therefore, authorities have not positively identified a suspect.
“We have information on (the suspect’s identity) but we’re wanting some witnesses to come forward,” said CPD Capt. Brent Swan. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the CPD at 244-3500 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
