The Golden Triangle Development LINK will officially announce Plum Creek Environmental Technologies’ West Point expansion on Aug. 31.
The LINK announcement, scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Ritz Theater and Convention Center at 125 Commerce St., will feature Gov. Phil Bryant.
The company is moving to a new location on East Industrial Access Road.
Its current location at 123 Hemlock St. in Columbus, near Cash and Carry Building Supply, employs more than 50 people. The company manufactures balers, compactors, conveyors, dumpsters, shredders and other waste and recycling products.
About 50 jobs are expected to move to the new West Point location, according to company President Jim Wamble. The company plans to leave its service operation at its Columbus location for at least the short term.
