Columbus police have arrested a Columbus man for allegedly stealing a vehicle.
Rodney Lowe, 44, of 337 Ben Christopher Road, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with felony taking of a motor vehicle.
Lowndes County sheriff’s deputies took Lowe into custody after they pulled him over in the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle parking lot for failing to yield. The vehicle Lowe was driving was a 2006 Pontiac G6 which had been reported stolen Sept. 21 from Tenn Tom Auto Sales on Tuscaloosa Road.
County officials then turned the case over to city police, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Municipal Court Judge Rhonda Ellis set Lowe’s bond at $10,000. He is still in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
