Oktibbeha County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect in an apparent hit-and-run on Turkey Creek Road that left one man injured.
Deputies arrived to the scene just after 9:23 p.m Saturday and saw a man lying in the roadway. He was conscious but unable to provide officers with any information, Chief Deputy Chadd Garnett said.
“There was no vehicle [at the scene], and it appeared he had been hit by a vehicle,” he said.
Garnett did not release the victim’s name but said he was airlifted from the scene to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. His condition was unknown at press time.
Anyone with with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 662-323-2421 or Golden Triangle Crimestoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
