A Columbus man is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly hitting someone with a pipe.
Columbus police on Friday arrested Kendrea Lashawn Billups, 21, of 906-B 17th St. N. An arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 24 following an incident where he is accused of hitting a 40-year-old male victim in the head with a pipe during an altercation on Browder Street.
The alleged victim was not seriously injured in the incident, City Public Information Officer Joe Dillon said.
Billups was released from the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on Sunday after posting $30,000 bond.
