A Lowndes County woman faces a charge of domestic violence-aggravated assault for allegedly cutting a family member with a knife.
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephanie Grandberry, 42, of 366 Victor Road, at her home late Saturday night after a family member reported she had attacked him, Capt. Ryan Rickert said. The victim’s cut was not severe, and he refused medical treatment at the scene, saying he would go to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle to have the cut checked out later.
Rickert confirmed that Grandberry appeared to have bruises but said no one else has been arrested in the case as of yet.
Grandberry was released from Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on Monday after posting $5,000 bond.
