A Columbus man was jailed for allegedly stealing or trying to steal from multiple businesses.
Officers with the Columbus Police Department arrested Frank Rice III, 48, of 1316 20th St. N., on Sunday, according to a press release from the CPD.
Rice is accused of stealing property from Premier Night Lounge on 22nd Street on Oct. 22 and for breaking into J&J Tobacco Mart on Tuscaloosa Road on Oct. 25.
Rice was charged with one count of grand larceny in connection with the alleged night club theft and burglary of a business for allegedly breaking into the tobacco store.
Rice’s bond was set at $15,000, and he was released from the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center early Wednesday.
