The 11th annual Starkville First United Methodist Church’s Christmas Handworks Bazaar is set for Friday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Christian Life Center at 300 W. Lampkin St.
All proceeds benefit Starkville’s Habitat for Humanity, an ongoing major mission project for the church. The congregation regularly contributes money for new houses.
The bazaar will feature about 40 vendors selling locally handmade goods and products — jewelry, art, pottery, food and a miscellaneous section, which includes home decor, such as door signs and monogrammed wreaths, as well as hand-poured candles and crocheted and sewn items.
The bazaar will also offer goods by local jewelry designers and woodworkers with custom toys, cutting boards and rocking horses. Stained glass art will include tree ornaments, wind chimes and nativity scenes. Food booths will sell syrups, jams, jellies and salsas.
In addition to a wide assortment of handmade goods, the bazaar offers activities and musical entertainment as well. A sweet shop will feature homemade baked goods such as brownies, cookies and cakes, all made by church volunteers.
