Main Street Columbus has postponed its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event due to the threat of severe weather.
The event, which was scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. today, has been postponed to the same time on Tuesday.
The Christmas tree lighting event will be held at the east end of the Old Highway 82 pedestrian bridge at the Riverwalk.
Columbus Mayor Robert Smith will “flip the switch” at approximately 6:15 p.m.
