A Starkville man previously jailed for grand larceny and auto burglary now faces a felony charge for possession of stolen property.
Demonta Ward, 22, was previously arrested on Dec. 12 in connection to a stolen vehicle report originating from Saxon Apartments, located on Locksley Way.
Officers served the new warrant for possession of stolen property against Ward at the Oktibbeha County Jail, where he remains behind bars.
The new charge stems from another automobile theft reported last month from Lummus Street, a Starkville Police Department release states.
Ward’s total bond is $75,000, the release states, and he is due in Starkville Municipal Court on Jan. 11.
Anyone with information on this or any other incident should call SPD at 662-323-4131 or the Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151.
