Main Street Columbus will host the Downtown Columbus Spring Open House on Friday and Saturday.
From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, local downtown merchants will celebrate spring with promotions, refreshments, discounts and door prize drawings for shoppers and patrons.
The open house began 12 years ago as a way to bring in both Columbus area residents and visitors to downtown stores and restaurants, all of which are locally owned, Main Street Columbus Director Barbara Bigelow said. She invited residents to come downtown this weekend to shop or just enjoy the downtown area.
“The downtown spring open house gives customers the opportunity to shop for upcoming special occasions such as Easter, Mother’s Day, graduations and other events that might require a special gift,” Bigelow said. “Main Street Columbus is committed to driving traffic downtown, helping our local establishments prosper and keeping downtown active and attractive.”
