A second Columbus man has been arrested in connection with the March 19 shooting outside the Princess Theatre nightclub downtown.
Morris Dyonte Lanier, 31, of 132 Maple St., turned himself in at the Columbus Police Department on Tuesday. Lanier faces three counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $300,000 on each count.
The arrest comes eight days after CPD officers arrested the first suspect in the incident. Terrance Lamar Williams, 24, was also charged with three counts of aggravated assault on March 20, the day after the incident. At the time of Williams’ arrest, CPD officials said they were seeking Lanier as person of interest in the shooting.
Police allege the men were responsible for shooting into several vehicles, two of which were occupied, in the early morning hours of the Sunday. No one was injured in the shooting.
Both suspects are still being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
