Turning toward Starkville, Andy Shurden and Ken Freshwater, veterans of the mortgage industry, have come together under the banner of 1st Legacy Capital LLC to offer services based solely in their specialty, reverse mortgage.
Reverse mortgage loans allow consumers 62 years and older to convert the equity in their home to cash without having to move out or make loan payments.
“There is a great need in Mississippi for a company that is focused on providing education and information on the reverse mortgage loan product,” Shurden, the president of the company, said.
The partners meet face-to-face with customers statewide to make sure they get the best options and information based on their circumstances. They will be hosting seminars through the end of the year to help provide information to consumers, financial planners and others who work with senior adults and their families.
The office is located at 270 Ridgeland Drive.
