Officers with Columbus Police Department arrested a man who was in the process of burglarizing Express Oil Change Tuesday morning.
They found Lamar Cobby Williams, 36, of 2305 Hwy. 45 N., Unit C, hiding in the Express Oil Change on Highway 45 at about 5 a.m., according to a press release from CPD. Williams was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of a business.
The arrest came after police received a call that an alarm was going off at the business and arrived to find what looked like a burglary in progress, the press release said.
Williams, who is on parole with the Mississippi Department of Corrections for a grand larceny conviction from 2013, is being held without bond in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
