Authorities with the Columbus Police Department are investigating a convenience store armed robbery from Monday night.
The robbery suspect entered the Shell station near the intersection of Ninth Street and Main Street where he showed a handgun and demanded money, according to a press release from CPD. He left the store with an undetermined amount of cash and fled south on Ninth Street.
Authorities describe the suspect as a 5-foot-8 black male with dreadlocks, dressed all in black and with his face covered in a white cloth.
The robbery occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. No one was injured, Public Information Officer Joe Dillon said.
Police have asked anyone with information on the robbery to call CPD at 244-3552 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
