STARKVILLE — Mississippi State’s eighth consecutive bowl trip takes it to a familiar destination.
For the third time in its active bowl streak, the longest in school history, the No. 24 MSU football team (8-4, No. 23 College Football Playoff) will go to Jacksonville, Florida, and the TaxSlayer Bowl to face Louisville (8-4) 11 a.m. Dec. 30 at EverBank Field. The appearance comes after beating Michigan in that game in 2011 and losing to Northwestern there in 2013.
Tickets start at $85 and cowbells will be allowed into the stadium.
This will be MSU’s 21st bowl appearance in program history; MSU is 12-8 in bowl performance.
