A new addiction treatment center is coming to Columbus.
Matt Bogue, vice president of the Dutch Company, confirmed Pathway Healthcare Addiction Center will be opening in the second-floor space in The Allegro Plaza.
The Allegro Plaza, which is located on Bluecutt Road, is undergoing renovations on the second floor to allow tenants, such as Pathway Healthcare, to open.
The Pathway Healthcare Addiction Center will specialize in treatments for a variety of addictions, but its primary specialization will be opioid dependencies. With both physicians and counselors on staff, Bogue said the clinic will offer a variety of both medical and behavioral treatments for patients.
The clinic is expected to open in the spring.
Pathway Healthcare has addiction centers in Jackson and Vicksburg, as well as four Alabama locations and one in Texas.
Speaking of the Dutch Company, Bogue also said Dutch Oil recently added six new gas pumps at The West Bank Travel Center and Truck Stop on Plymouth Bluff Access Road. A space connected to a Sprint Mart in Starkville, located on the corner of Highway 82 and Jackson Street, is undergoing renovations, as well. The building is also owned by Dutch Oil. However, Bogue said he could not release any information on who the retail tenant might be.
Moving on to Starkville, The Beauty Bar at R. Tabb and Company is now open.
The Beauty Bar, which is owned by Licensed Aesthetician Polly Briggs, is housed in R. Tabb, which recently moved to a larger storefront on Main Street.
The Beauty Bar offers waxing services, makeup applications and a variety of facials for different skin types and needs.
Briggs said her prices are generally less than other competitors, and she is willing to work with clients to find a price range that fits their budgets.
With Starkville being a college town, she said one of her main priorities was to fit the needs of students in the area and regular residents.
“If someone needs a facial but they can’t spend a lot of money, I can work with them,” Briggs said. “I just really love what I do here.”
The Beauty Bar is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and accepts both walk-ins and appointments. For a full list of pricing on Beauty Bar services visit R. Tabb on Main Street or The Beauty Bar at R. Tabb on Facebook.
Lastly, CB&S Bank, located on Highway 12 in Starkville, just opened a new Mortgage Department.
Dean Smith, who is now the mortgage and loan supervisor at the bank, said the company hopes to expand its mortgage services offered by opening local departments. The department in Starkville is the first Mortgage Department to be implemented in Mississippi.
