A woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly stabbed someone in the chest.
Officers with Columbus Police Department arrested Octavia Tamekio Macon, 25, of 1615 Seventh Ave. S., No. B, at her home Sunday afternoon. Officers had been called to the residence in response to a call about a stabbing, according to a CPD press release.
The victim had a non life-threatening wound to his upper chest, according to the press release. An ambulance took him to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle where he was treated and released.
Macon was charged with aggravated assault. She has been released from Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on her own recognizance.
