Darleen Hill, RN, is the 2018 winner of the Gilmore Memorial Florence Nightingale Award. Darleen has over forty years of various nursing experience. Her skill set ranges from care of the elderly, rehabilitation nursing, medical nursing, surgical nursing in all specialties, charge nurse, manager, materials management, budget managing, and electronic documentation. Hill is currently a Surgery Nurse at Gilmore.
The Nightingale Awards event was founded in 1985 to honor nurses who best exemplify the philosophy and practice of Florence Nightingale, a 19th Century nursing pioneer, who epitomized the art of helping people toward their optimal health. Gilmore Memorial Hospital staff members nominate fellow co-workers they feel exemplify Florence Nightingale.
