A Columbus man was arrested last week for allegedly strangling his girlfriend.
According to a Columbus Police Department press release, Sharkee Robertson, 25, of 2207 22nd St. N. in Columbus, was arrested Thursday just after 6 a.m. and charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault by strangulation.
The charge came weeks after CPD responded to a domestic violence call June 3 on the 2200 block of 22nd St. North., the press release states.
Robertson is being held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. The Mississippi Department of Corrections has a hold on him for a violation, and no bond has been set.
