Realtor Colin Krieger of Columbus was recently awarded the Mississippi Realtors Community Champion Award at the Mississippi Realtors Convention and Expo in Point Clear, Alabama.
Mississippi Realtors annually recognize a Realtor who volunteers his or her personal time and resources and demonstrates extraordinary efforts to improve the quality of life in his or her community.
For the past four years, he has donated his time and talents with multiple organizations in his community. He organizes huge block parties at his home to raise money for charities such as the local library, the Arts Council, the Homeless Coalition and the Main Street Association. He has also organized fundraisers for Ducks Unlimited, the Humane Society, the YMCA and a benefit for a fallen local musician. He serves on several community organization boards, is an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and a mentor to area community college students.
In addition to the individual recognition, the Columbus YMCA will be given a $1,000 donation from the Mississippi Realtors to benefit Krieger’s “Colin’s Big Why?” a fundraising campaign he created to benefit the organization.
