A man was injured early Sunday during a shooting near 16th Street and Seventh Avenue North.
The victim was shot in the leg during an altercation at 12:43 a.m. and has been treated and released from the hospital, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Two suspects were arrested and charged after the shooting. Aldoques Jerome Dooley, 39, of Starkville and Demonte Antwan Harris, 26, of Columbus were both arrested and charged with possession, sale and transfer of a stolen firearm. Dooley was also charged with failure to appear on a previous charge. Neither suspects’ bond has been set. The shooting is still under investigation by CPD and could result in additional charges.
