A Starkville man is in jail after he turned himself in to police for his role in a shooting at an apartment complex last month.
Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said Christopher Evans, 26, has been charged with shooting into a dwelling as an accessory to the Dec. 26 incident. The incident happened at an apartment complex on Garrard Road. Evans turned himself in on Thursday.
Lovelady said no injuries were reported from the incident.
Evans appeared in Starkville municipal court on Saturday, where his bond was set at $50,000. He’s being held in the Oktibbeha County Jail.
SPD is still investigating the shooting, and Lovelady said further arrests may be pending.
