One person was airlifted to a hospital after being pinned under an overturned utility vehicle Monday night.
According to Columbus Public Information Office Joe Dillon, police responded to the parking lot of the Sanfield One Stop Convenience Store on South Martin Luther King Drive shortly before 7 p.m. in response to a call that one person was pinned under an overturned Polaris Side by Side utility vehicle in the parking lot and was unconcious.
As police and EMS responded, two individuals, one of whom worked with the person pinned under the vehicle, lifted it off the victim. The victim regained conciousness immediately after and was airlifted by helicopter to an area hospital, Dillon said, though he didn’t know which hospital.
Dillon was unable to release the victim’s age or gender, or whether another vehicle was involved in the incident.
