Two armed, masked men entered a Main Street convenience store early Friday.
The men, who wore bandanas across their faces, walked into Grocery Discount Tobacco store at 1900 Main St. at about 1:07 a.m. Friday, said Columbus Police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer.
One suspect, who had a handgun covered with a bandana, asked the store owner, “Where”s homey at?” according to the police report.
When the owner said he did not know, the men backed out of the store, Songer said.
The incident was reported as an attempted robbery, she said.
The first suspect was described by police as a black man standing 5-foot-7, weighing about 160 pounds and wearing black pants and a black and white bandana.
The other suspect was described as a black man standing 5-foot-9, weighing 175 pounds, and wearing black pants and a yellow bandana.
