A 35-year-old Columbus woman was slightly injured Tuesday when she turned her SUV in front of a car northbound on Military Road.
Johquina Rangel was turning her black Ford Explorer onto 17th Avenue North at about 11 a.m. when a silver Oldsmobile hit the vehicle”s front, right-hand side.
Louis Barnes, 67, also of Columbus, was uninjured, although his car was severely damaged and was leaking battery fluid.
Rangel declined a ride to the hospital after paramedics examined her at the scene.
Her car was damaged but driveable.
The Columbus police and fire departments responded to the crash.
