The Starkville Area Arts Council will reveal the winning poster design for the 2011 Cotton District Arts Festival on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. The judges” selection will be revealed at 700 University Dr. in the historic Cotton District.
The SAAC invites the public to get the first look at the poster that will serve as the public face of next spring”s festival, which is scheduled for April 23 in the Cotton District.
With a wide variety of art villages, artisans, international culture, choral and theatrical performances, food competitions, children”s activities, music, a 5K run and more, the festival is a major draw for thousands of residents and visitors.
Spring 2011 will mark the 16th year for the Cotton District Arts Festival, an event made possible by support and generous grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Greater Starkville Development Partnership, and the Starkville community.
