Hey kids — the holidays are here. And what better way to enjoy the magic than with a visit with Santa and Miz Claus. Meet Santa and Miz Claus as they make a special visit to the Downtown Y at 602 Second Ave. N. Saturday, Dec. 11, from 9-11 a.m.
Santa”s elves will greet everyone upon arrival. Since Santa and Miz Claus are happy to pose for photographs, be sure to bring your cameras. For those who wish to participate in activities, such as face painting, icing cookies to take home, making a special Christmas ornament to take with you and writing a letter to Santa, there will be a $5 fee to cover expenses.
Carolers will fill the air with Christmas singing, and Miz Claus will tell Christmas stories. For those who wish to bring their little ones and share the excitement with them, there is no charge.
Cookies, juice and coffee will be available. Door prizes will be given away throughout the morning.
“The Y is thrilled to host this holiday festivity,” said Barbara Bigelow, director of community affairs. “We are always looking for ways to serve our community.”
