A 33-year-old Columbus man has been accused of holding his girlfriend against her will by threatening her with a broken plate.
Christopher Lantrail Jones, of 303 23rd St. N., hit the victim in the face while she was sleeping at his residence early Sunday after an argument, said police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer.
After he beat her “all over her body,” he made her cut her own hair with clippers and held her inside the bedroom by holding the jagged end of a broken plate to her throat, Songer said.
She called police after he let her leave the house.
Jones was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, kidnapping and petty larceny of less than $500.
He is being held on a $15,746 bond and is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Jan. 20.
