As recently as 10 years ago, if you told someone to copy and paste, the appropriate response would have involved paper and glue. Today, copy-and-paste is widely known computerspeak. But copy-and-paste is doing more than complicating the English language. It's blurring the lines between original work and plagiarism.

While it's been the obvious component of the Southeastern Conference's amended artificial noisemaker ban to help accommodate MSU's greatest sporting symbol, the current margin for error is nil. MSU Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin confirmed Monday the SEC has notified the school it will be fined for violations of the cowbell compromise.

STARKVILLE - A Starkville man who walked out of Oktibbeha County Circuit Court last week prior to his trial on drug charges turned himself in to authorities Sunday night. Peruzo K. Duck, 32, of 123 Long Street, was considered a fugitive after he left the Oktibbeha County Courthouse Thursday just before his trial began on one count of possession of cocaine and one count of sale of cocaine.
