WEST POINT — Nellie Dye Pope, 94, died May 1, 2013, at Trinity Personal Care. Services are Saturday at 3 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Mrs. pope was born Dec. 25, 1918 to the late Annie Eliza Haley and Marshall Edward Dye. She was formerly employed as a packer at Knickerbocker Manufacturing and was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Duke Pope; eight siblings; and one granddaughter. Survivors include her daughter, Claire Cohan of New hope, Pa.; son, Robert E. Pope of Columbus; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Brooks Pope, Ryan Hoffpauir, Stacy Hoffpauir, Nathaniel Pope and Robbie Robinson.
